quite the intimidating beauty,
the frank latch coat is an
intricate puzzle of stitches.
victorian beadwork adorns the back
and the right arm,
intersected with contrasting hand-stitches.
there are six sturdy vintage buttons
that close the coat, as well
as a lovely old door latch!
there are black ribbons to tie
the latch closed on the chest.
the collar is stacked with victorian
lace & black ruffles that
meet the regal shoulders in a
lovely mess of green velvet, black & white spots,
and yellow hand-stitches.
there are three roomy pockets,
and tiered ruffles on the cuffs.
there is also a little patch of marilyn monroe
on the left arm, with
a little black bow in her hair..
a stunning piece that
will never exist again;
this coat is going to change
someone's life, i think!
they might just carry a
black suitcase everywhere they go, too!

a delicate, quilted snow-storm,
the little ice shrug is pale and dear.
many shades of pale blue, cream & white
are stitched together into
a pretty little terrain.
lovely trims, embroidery, ruffles,
and tatters adorn your shoulders
like a lovely mantle.
the shrug closes in front
with one ancient grey button,
and the edges of the shrug are
< alive with lace ruffles.
there is a dainty little collar, as well.
perfectly light for the summer, but bringing
you the romantic colours of the winter, too.
i say, it might just have you trying to
get through the wardrobe, & into narnia!

made to show off

the elf-heart cap is a treat, indeed.
vintage ties, antique embroidery,
checkers, and black velvet make this
a one-of-a-kind delicacy!
the cap has little red ribbons
in the front to tie in a bow,
and is smattered with hearts,
spades, and contrast stitching.
it makes me want to find the
queen of hearts and
make her go roller-skating with me!
definitely not for the shy ones,

a fantastical web of wonder,
the mothmust shawl is a delicate &
protective piece of stitch-work.
webs of black sparkle intertwine
with cream lace; bits of flowers &
bows peek out, feathers mix
with fringe; it seems almost alive!
tatters and trim are best friends here..
there is a beautiful moth patch stitched
to the back, made by our dear friend ogo eion,
and this moth will always watch out for you!
it seems to be swimming in
lace constellations..
the shawl closes with an old brass
button & loop in the front.
light looks quite magical through
all this web-work..
if i were you, i'd hang it in
my window as a curtain between outings!

the tawny checker skirt is
the perfect summer companion.
it has secret, roomy pockets &
lovely tatters and ruffles.
sepia lace and white eyelet are
all stitched amongst checkered textures.
there are tiny trinkets stitched at
the sides of
the hem;
a little teardrop, a jewelled button,
little vintage forget-me-nots..
the skirt is gathered at the waist
and
has an elastic waist band.
5 sweet vintage buttons close the front,
and there is quilted lace at the waist-band.
a very fun edwardian-inspired skirt,
you will be on the list for every tea party!

a lovely new creation,
the sylvan shrug is made of rows
& patches of black & tawny lace,
overdyed eyelet, and bits
of silver-black.
it is an intricate little
map of texture with
a beautifully ruffled collar.
the shrug fastens in front
with an (adjustable) vintage buckle.
stitched all over with black
contrasting thread, this shrug
almost looks like a very special
spider made it!
the hem is a gorgeous tattered ruffle
explosion, and the back has quite a
fantastic macabre cut.
i can't quite decide if this
belongs on a motorcycle
or in a museum!

a tattered medley of stitches & lace,
the theorna faery dress is an
elegant map
of antique patches.
made in the muted colours of
pale blue, cream, tan & white,
it looks like it could have risen from
the river on the body of a water spirit!
the bust is a textured decollete'
of crochet, lace, & stitches
(adorned with tiny vintage buttons,
of course).
the straps are adjustable and
the dress
is slip-style,
with no zipper.
there are remnants sewn in from
the early 1900s, and there are tattered
bits of cursive writing lurking
about as well.
there is a very old thread sampler
stitched to the bottom left
of the dress for another touch
of ephemera & history.
truly one-of-a kind,
this
garment could be
a patchwork river faery's daily attire.
