the Loch coat
[ sold ]

42" chest
37" waist
44" hip
20" shoulders
19" armhole
25" sleeves

a magical, weathered
velvet coat revived from
my own closet. originally
from the 60's, it's the
dreamiest, lovely living
leaf colour.. mended & patched
with other precious velvets,
mossy tendrils & hand-dyed
remnants. a magical crest is
perched on the chest, 10
antique buttons close it
& lovely felted silk accents
the collar. quite the elven
aura here.. & a well-loved
vintage piece with lots
of character~ the lining
is gone,the colour is mottled,
parts are a bit wonky & may
need more TLC down the road.
kinda relatable :)

a vintage theater coat
I fixed up & bewitched~
it has fantastic shoulders
& hood with ties in front.
there are 3 pockets, 6
antique buttons & extra
long sleeves. 1800s
mourning piping adorns
the chest & cuff, and
there are cotton patches
over the coat. this piece
definitely shows wear from
it's long life, it's a
bit rustic, being a
handmade costume.. I've
removed the lining because
it was beyond repair.

a magical cardigan makeover~

unsure of fabric content but
it's heavy & grainy.. feels like
mustard :) it closes with 7
vintage black buttons & I've

42" chest
46" waist
54" hip
20" shoulder
26" long sleeves
18" armhole
16" bicep
8.5" upper wrist

this is a dreamy velvet coat
from the 40's that I worked a
bit of magic on~ made the collar
higher, the cuffs longer; with
extra soft black velvet.. added
3 vintage buttons at the waist
& one victorian button at the
neck. really just brought out
the edwardian vampire that
lurked within :) it has an
oversized, batty silhouette
with a neat ridge round the
back and round the sleeves.
the one part of it that's
smaller is the wrist area,
so make sure to check
that measurement
before purchasing.

2 years, haha. it was
a slow bloomer. a vintage
jacket makeover replete
with foliage & endless
white buttons. the roses
were salvaged from a 50's
formal & the cuffs are
remnants from an antique
petticoat. I love this dearly,
it's impossible to be sad
while wearing it!
I've been calling it
the rococoat, haha

hard to measure this
otherwise.. it's pretty
versatile in shoulder

a smaller head~

a lovely patchwork
hooded short cloak..
I made this with recycled
sweater & hoodie fabrics,
with a good measure of
hemp scraps sewn in. it
has a nice warm, comfy
feel and weight to it, like a
hoodie :) but more batty.
it ties in front with two long
hemp strands. this is gonna
be quite a wonderful
winter accomplice!

a rare nostalgia offering~
I began working on and wearing
this coat about 12 years ago.
recently unearthed it and took
the time to bring it back to life.
it is worn in the most lovely way,
and feels comforting & familial,
like borrowing a friend's coat.
11 vintage buttons close it in front.
it has two frankenstein pockets,
stretch panels in the arms for a
neat fit, and hundreds of
stitches & memories. the script
on the back is from a collection
of letters I saved from a dumpster
many years ago & silkscreened. this
would be best gently worn or living
with a crafty person, who can
continue to mend it as it will
need over time.. more photos in
